Description | Horsley's day-book. Consists of two black exercise books tied together, with MS notes by Horsley. Notes are predominantly concerned with administrative matters including rations and the fitting out of hospital ships. There are many enclosures, including TS letters, draft replies, photographs, diagrams and maps, including two maps of Basra. These books cover the period from 1915 when Horsley joined the 21st General Hospital in Alexandria, Egypt, until his death in July 1916. |
