Title | Petition from Jean Henry De Bérenger, of Erlang, to the Baron de Knebel |
Date | 30 Dec 1780 |
Description | Asking help in securing his uncle's possessions in South Carolina. Jean Henry De Bérenger explains that his financial situation would become very difficult for himself and his family without the prospect of receiving adequate compensation for the land he has inherited from his uncle in America. He enquires whether his idea of asking George III to intervene could be beneficial. He would like £3000 as compensation to forfeit his uncle's possessions. |
