TitleStatement made by Margaretta, Simon Pechell's widow
Date1782
DescriptionAccount of Simon Pechell's deathbed words spoken to her alone by which he regretted he had not altered his will to leave the same amount to his nephew Thomas as he had to the latter's brother, Augustus. With postscript by Paul Pechell (brother of the deceased) that Mr Caillaud (brother-in-law of the deceased) and both executors had fulfilled the request. Also with further note by Thomas Brooke Pechell stating that as, on Mrs Pechell's death her personal property did not prove equal to the amount intended for him, he waived his claim and had received only a part, although Mr Caillaud had offered to contribute towards the discrepancy.
