Description | Includes (at end, reversed) a list of applicants for admission to the Hospital (some with dates of entry), giving age, occupation, nature of infirmity, names of sponsors, and occasionally other information. The first 19 entries are undated; the rest run from March 1730 to July 1733, at dates corresponding to dates of Committee meetings. Found loose and now attached facing the end of the list is a medical certificate of 1732. |
AdminHistory | The last entry is a memorandum, dated 31 December 1737, of duties in keeping various records undertaken by named Directors. No doubt this resulted from Philippe de Crespigny's appointment as Secretary in July 1737. H/A/2/9 and H/A/2/10 are the only surviving records of the Management Committee for the ten-year period they cover, as there is a corresponding gap in H/A/2/1, where there is a note: 'La continuation de ce livre se trouve dans deux petits livres séparés, ou mains (quires) de papiers volants (loose)'. A single quire of paper, unbound. Had been roughly tied together with H/A/2/8 at a later date, but the two booklets have now been re-separated. |
