(ii) Annual numbers of deaths in the Hospital, 1733-1743 (ranging from 21 to 44, except for 1741, when there where 60). p. 47: (i) List of pensioners in the Hospital, with amounts of annual pensions, 1739. (ii) Daily consumption and cost of soup, beef and mutton and of the Sunday roast, and Friday pork or salt cod, for 250 inmates. p. 48: Observations on the Hospital brewery, with quantities of malt and hops used and beer produced, 1742. The book had previously been started, at the other end, as a record of clothing held and clothing issued or destroyed, but entries are from February 1719 to January 1720 only. |
