| Description | Marie Desert, a 65 year old woman, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She was born in London but her late father, André Desert, was originally from Lower Normandy. Marie works in the silk industry and is a member of the French Church of St Jean. She suffers from rheumatism and poor eyesight so can no longer work.
