DescriptionCharles Martin, a 69 year old silkweaver, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. He was born in Lower Normandy and is a member of the French Church of London. Charles suffers from several conditions and his eyesight is poor so he can no longer work. A note in a different hand, signed by Louis Amédée Anspach, Pastor of the French Church of London, states that Charles is of sound character and in need of a place at the Hospital. The petition is also signed by James Barbet, S Beuzeville, Jean Perrell and François Jolit.
