Description | Simeon Caron, a 62 year old silkweaver, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. He was born in London but his late father, Jean Baptiste Caron, was originally from Bolbec, in Normandy. Simeon is a member of the French Church of London. He is paralysed, suffers from a cataract in his right eye and his eyesight in his left one is poor. As a result, he is unable to work and look after himself. A note in a different hand, signed by Louis Amédée Anspach, states that he had visited Simeon and recommends his admission. The petition is signed by James Barbet. |
