TitleElizabeth Myers
Date21 Nov 1824
DescriptionElizabeth Myers, a 51 year old woman, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her grandfather, George Barbut was born in Bordeaux and came to England as a Huguenot refugee. Elizabeth is described as being unable to work, but no further details are given. A note in a different hand signed by Alexandre Sterky, Pastor at the French Church of Les Grecs, states that Elizabeth's character and piety are beyond reproach. He also mentions that she has been suffering from poor eyesight for several years and will most likely become blind at some point in the future. The petition is also signed by J S Pons, Pastor at the French Church of Les Grecs; J R Vincent and Philip Audinet, both Elders.
