DescriptionJean Duchemin, an 82 year old man, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. His father was born in La Rochelle and came to England as a Huguenot refugee. Jean is described as being unable to work, but no further details are given. A note in a different hand from the Pastors and Elders of the French Church of Les Grecs states that Jean is one of the oldest members of the congregation and has always distinguished himself for his piety. The petition is signed by Alexandre Sterky, Pastor; J S Pons, Pastor; Philip Audinet, Elder; J R Vincent, Elder and Peter Des Granges.
