| Description | Anne Bourdenis, a 60 year old school teacher, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her late grandfather, Pierre Bourdenis was originally from Gruchet [probably Gruchet-le-Valasse], in Higher Normandy. Anne has suffered from poor eyesight since childhood but it has now deteriorated further so she can no longer work. She is also described as being very feeble.
