Description | Marie Danpuré, a 61 year old woman, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She was born in London, but her late grandfather, Jean Danpuré was originally from Poitou. Marie works in the silk industry but suffers from rheumatism, asthma and poor eyesight. As a result, she cannot work enough to be financially independent. A note by J Q Lebez, states that Marie had worked for him for several years and had been a member of the French Church of London, but was excluded from it for not paying her contributions. The petition is also signed by John Homes and Son; George Harriss and James Delamare. |
