Description | Marie Esther Porter, a 66 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her father, Giles Briant was originally from Saint-Lô, in Normandy. Marie is the niece of the late Messrs Sorel and cousin of the late Pierre Ferry Michel, who were members of the French Church of London for over fifty years. Marie was also a member for around fifteen years but had to stop attending when her husband's work made them move to the countryside. Her husband passed away in November 1828 after suffering from severe asthma for ten years. Marie spent all their money to care for him and is now destitute with no one that can help. The petition is signed by Henry Le Lièvre and George Deboos. |
