| Description | Jacques Ferrand, a 73 year old widower, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. His father was Jacques Ferrand and his grandfather, also called Jacques, was originally from Champagne, in France. Jacques used to be a silk weaver but had to stop working two years prior to the petition being made due to poor eyesight. Furthermore, his wife passed away on 1 May 1830.
