TitleSara Turner, née Godin
Date14 Jul 1830
DescriptionSara Turner, a 60 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her father was Jean Godin and her grandfather, also called Jean, was originally from France. No details are given as to the exact region he came from. Her maternal grandfather, Philippe Reu, had been a member of the French Church of London for forty years. She used to work in the silk industry but after her marriage, her financial situation allowed her to stop. Following the death of her husband twenty years prior to the petition being made, she started to work as a seamstress but her eyesight has now become too poor. The petition is signed by Sarah Turner herself; Charles Scholl, Pastor; John Ja Battier.
