DescriptionJulie Austin, a 69 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her maternal ancestors were originally from Picardy. Julie suffers from poor eyesight so can no longer work as a silk weaver. Her husband died six years previously and her children have tried to help her financially but cannot continue to do so as they do not earn enough from their own work. The petitioner's grandmother, aunt and cousin all passed away whilst being residents at the French Hospital. The petition bears Julie Austin's mark and is signed by Charles Scholl, Jean Samson, P Fontaneau, Robert Louvel and George Duboos.
Overleaf a note in pencil, states that Julie Austin's maternal grandmother and two aunts died at the French Hospital, all called Noli or Neuilly.
