| Description | Sara Jeanne Grew, a 65 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her father was Jacques Banadiere and her grandfather, Guillaume Bannadiere, was originally from Lyons. The latter was a resident at the French Hospital when he died. Sara works in the silk industry for Messrs Delamare and Sons, but the work is very badly payed, due it being increasingly mechanised. As a result, she cannot earn enough to be financially independent. The petition bears Sara Jeanne Grew's mark and is signed by J R Judkins, Joseph Merceron and Pierre Grellet.
A note overleaf, states that no Guillaume Bannadiere appears in the register, unless he is listed as Guillaume Delabernardiere. |
