| Description | George Guillaume Bernardin, a 58 year old widower, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. His father was Pierre Bernardin and his grandfather, Abraham Bernardin, was born in France and fled to England to avoid religion persecution. Furthermore, his grandmother (not named) was a resident of the French Hospital. George is a tailor but has not been able to work in his profession for the past few years due to poor eyesight. During this time he has done some slopwork but now suffers from rheumatism and reduced mobility in his hands. The petition is signed by George Guillaume Bernardin himself; Peter Le Blond; Alexandre Sterky, Minister of the French Church of Les Grecs; Peter Desfranges and John Taylor.
