Description | Mary Thwaites, a 56 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her father was Jean Marechal and her great grandfather, Nicholas Marechal, was originally from Normandy but came to England as a refugee in 1704. Mary suffers from severe asthma and general poor health so has not been able to work as a silkweaver for the past seven years. Her husband passed away two months prior to the petition being made and she has no one that can help her financially. The petition is signed by Mary Thwaites herself, Pierre Fontaneau, George Deboos, Jaques De La Mare, D Lemare and Son, George Pigé and Jean Lanthois. |
