TitleJean Fredérique Rensche
Date18 Feb 1830
Date224 Feb 1830
DescriptionJean Fredérique Rensche, a 57 year old widower, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. His mother, Marie Anne Laguillet, was born in Valenciennes. Jean has been a member of the French Church of St Jean for 35 years and is now a member of the French Church of London. He is a silversrmith by trade but has not been able to find employement in this field for the past twelve years, so has been working as a night watchman near Old Street Road. The recent creation of the police force in that area has made his post redundant. Furthermore, he is also blind in one eye. In another hand, a note from J L Chirol, Pastor Emeritus of the Church of St Jean, states that for as long as he has known the petitioner, he has always behaved impeccably well.
Overleaf, a note from Charles Scholl, Pastor and Jean Bernard, states that Jean Fredérique Rensche is indeed a member of the French Church of London, dated 24 February 1830.
