DescriptionJeanne Ferry, a 60 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her father, Jean Cavier, was born in Blois, in France and came to England to avoid religious persecution. She has been a member of the French Church of London for the past fourty years. Jeanne suffers from rheumatism and poor eyesight so can no longer work as a silkweaver. She also has no parents or friends that can help her financially. The petition bears Jeanne Ferry's mark and is signed by Charles L H Scholl, Charles Battier, Jean Bernard, Pierre Fontaneau and George Deboos.
