DescriptionThe petitioner is referred to as both Guérout and Groute in the document. Anne Groute, an 86 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She is originally from Dieppe, in Normandy and was married to Michel Guérout, from Luneray, also in Normandy. The petition is signed by F Gautarel, Pastor and J Prieur, Secretary. A note at the end, dated 3 March 1764, requests for Mr Demedis to visit Anne Groute and examine her. Pinned to the petition is a certificate from Jn Jacquin, a doctor, confirming that the petitioner is bedridden, dated 7 March 1764.
