TitleJean Cannon
Date31 Mar 1764
DescriptionJean Cannon, a 64 year old man, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. He is originally from Cairy, in Picardy. The parents of his late wife, who were Catholics, denounced him and his son for being Protestants so that they would be incarcerated. They were also awarded all of their possessions. To escape prison, the petitioner fled to England. His dramatic change in circumstances took a toll on his health and he is now described as being nearly blind. The petition is signed by Robert Galhié, Daniel Hochecorne, Gédéon Patron and Jacob Bourdillon, Pastor. A note in a different hand, certifies that Jean Cannon is a member of their Church.
