TitleMarie La Place
Date3 Oct 1764
DescriptionMarie La Place, a 64 year old woman, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She was born in London, but her late father, Thomas La Place, was originally from Picardy. She does not know exactly from which village or town he came from. Marie has spent 36 years in the service of Mme Zolicoffrre, who speaks fondly of her. She is now too unwell to keep working. She suffers from chest pains and extreme fatigue. The petition is signed by Samuel Coderc, Pastor of the Church of Le Carré; Jackson and Benigne Zolicoffre. Pinned to the petition is a certificate from John Jacquin, a doctor confirming that Marie's exhaustion is nearly incurable.
