DescriptionPierre Martin, a 56 year old widower, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. He was born in London but his father, also called Pierre, was originally from Dieppe. He suffers from asthma and several other conditions that only enable him to weave a very small quantity of silk. As a result, he is extremely poor. The petition is signed by James Van Sommer, Isaac Auber, James Viard, Pierre Seyer and John Lemaistre.
