Description | Elizabeth Tubiere, a 68 year old woman, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her late father, Francis Louis Toubiere, was a Huguenot refugee from the Cévennes. Elizabeth was a governess, first to the late Miss Fazakerly, who later married the current Earl of Gower, and then to Miss West. Elizabeth is too unwell to keep working and is bedbound. The petition is signed by Anne Fazakerly, Sarah West, Ann Jefferson, Jane Robinson and Elizabeth Tubiere herself. A note in a different hand requests for Mr Silvestre to visit the petitioner and report back to the Directors. |
