| Description | Nicholas Gautier, a 58 year old man, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. He is originally from Caen, in Normandy, but had to flee to escape persecution. He is now too unwell to work and is so poor that he cannot even afford food. A note in another hand by L de La Chaumette states that he had had the pleasure of recommending Nicholas six years previously and would like to do so again, dated 7 June 1783. A second note signed by Pierre Levesque, Jaques Greive and Anne Pictet states that the information in the petition is true. |
