TitleJean LeMaitre
Date19 Apr 1800
DescriptionJean LeMaitre, a 63 year old man, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. His father was Jaques LeMaitre and his grandfather, Tobie LeMaitre, was born in Caen, in Normandy. Jean is a member of the French Church of Le Quarré. He is a woodcarver but his poor eyesight and the newer trends in his field prevent him from finding much work. He now suffers from colics and can no longer work. A note in a different hand states that Jean LeMaitre is indeed a member of the Church and suffers from poor health. A separate note, signed by Mercier, strongly recommends him. The petition is signed by P Prevost, Pastor of the French Church of Le Quarré; François Deschamps; Guillaume Marchant and Joseph Tiercelin.
