Description | Jeanne Renau, an 89 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. Her late husband was Samuel Renau, who died six years previously. Her father, Jaques La Borde, was originally from Normandy. Jeanne has been a member of the French Church of London for the past sixty years. She is too unwell to be able to look after herself. The petition is signed by J L Chirol, Pastor, who states that Jeanne speaks French and D H Durand Senior. At the back, a note from Dr Barthelemy Bouigue confirms that he had visited Jeanne and found her very unwell, dated 15 October 1796. |
