TitleWilliam Akers' petition
Date30 Jan 1845
DescriptionWilliam Akers, an 85 year old man, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. He was born on 21 September 1749. His parents were Stanley Akers and Elizabeth Bernonville. His mother's father was Alexander Bernonville, who fled Blois to avoid religious persecution. William used to be a weaver but has drawn patterns for embroidery for the past fifty years. Due to the recent popularity of foreign patterns, the petitioner can no longer make a living selling his English designs. The petition is signed by William Akers himself and James Wildey.
Petition n. 1245.
