Description | Elizabeth Ralph, a 66 year old woman, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She was born on 7 November 1778. Her parents were Samuel Ralph and Judith Pain. The latter was the daughter of William Pain, a watchmaker at Welch-Pool, in the county of Montgomery. His grandfather, Aaron Pain, was a Protestant merchant in Dieppe, in Normandy, who had to flee to England to avoid religious persecution, in 1686. Elizabeth used to be a servant, kept her brother-in-law's house and did some needlework but her brother-in-law passed away and she is too unwell to work. The petition is signed by Elizabeth Ralph herself and Sarah Randolph. There is no petition number. |
