Description | Lydia Brown, a 60 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She was born on 2 August 1788. Her parents were James Dell and Ann Deale. The latter was the daughter of George Deale and Ann Gaskoin, whose father was a Huguenot refugee who came to England in 1732. He died in 1759 and was buried at St Matthew's, Bethnal Green. His name is not given. Lydia's late husband was William Brown. She used to do some laundry and needlework but now suffers from age-related conditions and rheumatism so can no longer work.
