| Description | Elizabeth Cole, a 76 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She was born on 13 September 1777. Her parents were Elizabeth Yardley and George Barbier. The latter's father, Michael Barbier was originally from France and the petitioner's sister Mary Whiter, is currently a resident of the French Hospital (H/D/3/2/48). Elizabeth is a silk weaver but now suffers from age related conditions and poor eyesight so can no longer work. The petition bears Elizabeth Cole's mark and is signed by Thomas Peckston.
