Description | Jane Hadley, a 77 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She was born on 16 April 1780. Her parents were Ann Hicks and Levi Lambson. The latter's mother, Catherine Lambson died at the French Hospital. A note in the petition states that Catherine Lambson cannot be found in the Hospital's Register, but she is most certainly Catherine Lamechain, who died on 10 July 1795. The author assumes that the name must have been anglicised. Jane Hadley used to be a silk winder but can no longer works and is entirely dependant on her son. The petition is signed by Richard Juby and bears Jane Hadley's mark. Petition n. 1320. |
