Description | Louisa Collins, an 83 year old widow, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. She was born on 16 July 1772. Her parents were Ruth Wilbraham, née Earle, and Charles Royez. The latter was a sexton at the French Church of Saint Martin Orgars and his ancestors came from Dauphiné. The petitioner's daughter, Ruth Edmondson, was a pupil at the Westminster French Protestant School. Louisa Collins used to be a nurse but poverty and ill health have forced her to ask assistance from the French Hospital. The petition is signed by Louisa Collins herself and John Ferry [?]. Petition n. 1310. |
