AdminHistory | Abraham le Moine (d. 1757), was born in France, and was married in England in 1721. He was chaplain of the French Hospital until 1743. He became chaplain to the duke of Portland in 1729, who in 1738 presented him to the rectory of Everley, Wiltshire. Le Moine's translations into French of theological works were widely read, and he also wrote a Treatise on Miracles (1747). Refer to ODNB entry. |
