Description | Copy certificate signed J. Fraymonds in favour of Jeanne née Olivier, wife of Joseph Lewis Piot, carpenter, of Pally, district of Yverdon, Canton of Berne (Switzerland) who wished to visit relatives in London. She is stated to be of French descent and of good repute. The endorsement refers to her as the widow of Charles Bernard, and this is evidently the certificate to which the register of applicants refers in October 1749 - see Marmoy's register, under Bernard, Jeanne. |
