DescriptionConsists of:
i) Letter signed by Lancelot Andrewes, Bishop of Winchester, addressed to Sir Thomas Ridley, Chancellor of the Diocese of Winchester, asking him to institute in the parishes of the diocese a collection for the poor Protestant refugees from France. Southwark, 29 September 1621.
ii) Below, an autograph (draft) letter from Sir Thomas Ridley to the clergy of the diocese of Winchester, asking them to see to the collection and to send the contributions to his 'substitute', Dr Dorrel, for forwarding to London. London, 3 October 1621.
