TitleMerchant's and Royal Bounty accounts
DateSep 1710-Jul 1711
Date21743
DescriptionThe volume includes on the page facing the inside front cover, references to the massacre of St Bartholomew. On the same and the following page are some detailed notes on the ports of Egypt and Yemen, as well as remarks on the coffee trade.

The book was evidently disused, and in January 1743 eight pages, with one page further on and a loose sheet, were used for accounts (in French) of £3000 received from the Bénéficence Royale (the Royal Bounty) to be distributed to the poor. Some ordinary trading accounts of the same date follow. The Royal Bounty entries show that considerable sums were advanced to Pierre Lambert for payments to the poor.
