| Description | Numerous anonymous Protestant sermons with dates of delivery between 1670 and 1684. One is noted as delivered on 29 April 1682, the date of the preacher's daughter Rebecca's birth; and others on 22 September 1670, the day of his first born son's birth, and 10 January 1680, the eve of the anniversary of his brother Jacques's death, and the day of baptism of his daughter Sara Maria. Some were preached in Holland. There are also references to thanksgiving sermons for the King's delivery from conspiracies in 1678 (the Popish Plot) and 1683 (Rye House Plot). |
