AdminHistoryThomas Philip LeFanu (1858-1945), father of the donor, was a member of a well-known Irish Huguenot family, and became Commissioner of Irish Public Works and Ancient Monuments. Joining the Huguenot Society in 1894 and he contributed a number of articles to its Proceedings. He edited 'Registers of the French Non-Conformist Churches of Lucy Lane and Peter Street, Dublin', Huguenot Society Quarto Series, vol. XIV (Aberdeen 1901) and 'Dublin and Portarlington veterans: Kind William III's Huguenot army', Huguenot Society Quarto Series, vol. XLI (London, 1946). He also wrote 'Memoir of the LeFanu family' (s.l., 1924). He also served as President of the Society of Antiquaries of Ireland and as Honorary Secretary of the Royal Irish Academy.
