- 'Le culte et l'Enseignementde la Langue Maternelle en France' by Monsieur G Gastinel (delivered in French) January / February 1936: correspondence with Monsieur Descoles who was invited to speak but declined and Monsieur Gastinel,
- 'The Salem system of education and the problem of German youth' by Kurt Hahn: poster (there are further papers regarding the work of Kurt Hahn in the Simon papers)
- 'Some aspects of education in Tropical Africa' by Mr E R J Hussey; Mr H S Scott; the Right Revd J J Willis October / November 1935: poster, correspondence with speakers, attendance lists (in the Library at ULIE 9.0 STU )

The Joseph Payne lectures were funded by the College of Preceptors. Three lectures were to be on problems of education in the British dominions, colonies and departments overseas. The other three were to be on the educational situation in Britain or in the rest of Europe, or devoted to educational surveys of a broader character.

The published lectures 'Education for citizenship' and 'Some aspects of education in Tropical Africa' are both in the IOE Library collection.
