| AdminHistory | The Arts Centre, established in 1976, 'encouraged all members of the Institute Community to organize and participate in cultural ventures, including art, dance, drama, film, music and theatre arts'. (Aldrich, 235).
Exhibitions were held in the Institute's three galleries; Bloomsbury I and II at the Bedford Way entrance and the Dixon Gallery on the Woburn Square side. These were organised by William Newland, Sue Morrell, Janet Ratcliffe and Joyce Broomhall.
The Dixon gallery was destroyed during the building of the new Newsam Library, and the Bloomsbury Galleries were eventually to become the Bookshop. |
