Description | The Working Party on Student Services was one of four working parties set up by the Consultative Committee on Oversees Initiatives following the recommendations of the Report on Overseas Student Initiatives of 1984. They wrote to Institute staff and students (not just overseas students) inviting them to submit comments and suggestions for the improvement of services to students. After all the evidence was recieved and discussed a final report of recommendations was written.
Minutes, agendas and papers from meetings of the Student Services Working Party of the Overseas Division. Subjects discussed include: overseas student recruitment; student accomodation; information for Associateship, Special Course and Short Course students; details of course programmes and extra-curricular programmes for students; summary of comments, complaints, and suggestions from students and staff on various issues including accomodation, examinations, and courses; drafts of the final report; the final report - which is called 'Report of Working Party on 'Overseas Student Services'', April 1989.
