| Description | Lists of international students studying at the Institute of Education, by academic year. International students are often referred to in these papers as 'oversea' or 'overseas' students. These lists were compiled in response to annual requests from the Universities’ Bureau of the British Empire, which became the Association of Universities of the British Commonwealth in 1949. Countries are listed in alphabetical order, with students listed under each country. The information given about each student varies by academic year, but usually consists of: name; gender; accommodation; and name of agency making the award.
