| AdminHistory | The Centre was established in 1987, funded through an academic initiative grant from the University of London based within the Department of Policy Studies. In 1999 staff from the Centre (and the Post-16 Education) seceded from the Department of Policy Studies to form a new group, Lifelong Learning. CHES offered teaching, research, consultancy and training on a range of academic, administrative and policy issues in higher education in the UK and overseas. |
