Description | The Institute appear to have begun to produce prospectuses from the late 1970s as the calendars were phased out. Prospectuses were sent to prospective students. Until the early 1990s the information was split into 4 parts, general information about the work of the Institute; and 3 course directories relating to initial teacher training courses; advanced diploma and BEd courses; and higher degrees. Later the last two were replaced by course directories on doctoral school/research degrees and MA and professional development courses. Each course directory was also available as a separate document.
In 2001, possibly when the Marketing and Development Unit was established, it appears the prospectus was phased out in 2002, though the course/programme directories continued to be published. From 2002 the course directories included doctoral school/research degrees; initial teacher training, advance courses and MA and professional development programmes. The course directories were later named prospectuses. |
