Description	Medical reference stating he should pursue a career in the outdoors due to chest problems, admission letter, application form for four year course, correspondence with the IOE. Raymond Booth started the four year course in 1938. This was interrupted by military service in the RAF from 1940 - 1945. He returned to the IOE in 1945 but his health was not good and he left to pursue a career where he would spend his time outdoors.
