| Description | Student handbooks for the Institute of Education Students' Union. Some of the later ones also include a diary section. These include information on available courses, clubs and societies, location of the union bar, suggestiosns on restaurants and entertainment in the area, location of IOE sports grounds. Some also contain photos of student activities and articles about student life.
Handbooks for the dates;
1961 - Possibly the first edition of the handbook, at least in this format. This contains: a photo of the Union Executive Committee; article 'Foundation Week' by Harry Davison, which includes photos of an international concert, review, dance and foundation week Ball; article 'Memoirs of an Overseas secretary' by Bob Davies which discusses the activities of the 58' club, set up to promote international friendship amogst students; article 'International Understanding', by R. C. Wilkinson
1973-1974 - includes a detailed section 'How to get your first teaching appointment'; copy of the Union Society constitution.
