Description | Talk on the cognitive curriculum of secondary schools and the evolution of the term 'curriculum' to encompass broader meanings. Certain priority issues regarding the organisation of the curriculum are addressed, such as the relationship between methodology and the early years of secondary schooling, the extent to which the inability to maintain attendance of pupils is caused by the curriculum, the problem being addressed by the 14-18 technical education, the possibilities for appropriate curricula for 16-19 year olds, the assessment of the work of the secondary school pupil, the place of computer aided technology and aspects of multilingualism. |
